Top REPEATS

REPEATS allow for AUTOMATIC REPEAT GENERATION of the SAME EVENT, at the SAME TIMES, but for SUBSEQUENT and SEQUENTIALLY ASCENDING DATES, over the period of ONE MONTH, for the PERIOD of ELAPSE Requested.

This means if you SELECT "weekly", the Event you entered will REPEAT through the CURRENT MONTH on a WEEKLY basis. If you SELECT "biweekly" the Event you entered will REPEAT through the CURRENT MONTH on a BI-WEEKLY basis.

If you don't want the event to repeat or the event is a ONE TIME EVENT, leave the selection set to NEVER!
                     ------------------------
You can select the extension of the number of occurrences, from 1 Week up to 8 Weeks.

Selecting 1 Week will schedule ONE occurrence, with the week containing the scheduled date as week #1. You can select up to 8 weekly occurrences, with one being the week in which contains the scheduled date and causing up to SEVEN additional weeks to be scheduled, based on the original day/date of the first scheduled date. Normally, selecting Weekly or Biweekly fills the calendar for the MONTH only. By selection of the number of weeks, the event will be over-flowed into the next subsequent month or more, to accommodate for the number of weeks selected.

  EVENT TITLE

The EVENT TITLE allows a very short (up to 50 characters) description or NAME of the Event. ALWAYS put a title in this field.

Top POST EVENT AS

POST EVENT AS is a condition set for displaying the event entry on the calendar. If you want the Event to begin displaying immediately on the calendar, then leave the setting at "Current and After Date". If you want to suspend displaying of the event for some reason, set the setting to "Do Not Display". You can change this later.

  SAVE AS FIXED ITEM

This CHECK BOX, when checked will SAVE the Event you are entering in the FIXED ENTRIES Table. The Purpose of the FIXED ENTRIES Table is to allow you to select from a list of events stored in the table and have the information transferred to the ACTIVE EVENTS Table. This is designed so that all you have to do is change the DAY, DATE and add whatever other information you need for an event that occurred before. This is especially good for SUNDAY SERVICES where the date may change but everything else stays the same. Check the fixed entries by clicking the "Use From Fixed Entries" link to see the list of events available.

Top INCLUDE ON BILLBOARD

The CHECK BOX, when checked, will SAVE the Event Entry you are entering into the BILLBOARD Table. The BILLBOARD is displayed on the HOME page of the Church Web Site. The BILLBOARD will only display events that will occur within the next TWO WEEKS after the Current date. When the date for the event expires, the event will not show up un to BILLBOARD any more. The Billboard Entry can be deleted using the Event Maintenance Function. This is new because the only other way is going into the Billboard Maintenance Page.

  SUBMIT BUTTON

When you click the SUBMIT BUTTON, the entry you entered will be saved in a TEMPORARY Table. This button also causes the repetition of events to occur. In addition, when you click the SUBMIT BUTTON, all event entries you made will be displayed at the bottom of the ADD PAGE.

Top RESET BUTTON

The RESET BUTTON will ERASE anything you entered in the fields of the ADD Page and reset the page to its DEFAULT settings.

EXIT  SAVE --- EXIT & HOLD

With the EXIT & SAVE link, two things happen. First, ALL Event Entries that were saved in the Temporary Table WILL BE transferred to the ACTIVE EVENTS Table. Second, ALL of the Temporary Event Entries on the TEMPORARY Table will be DELETED! You will then be taken to the Maintenance Menu.

EXIT & HOLD simply EXITS the ENTRY PAGE. No Temporary Items are saved, but should be retained on the Temporary Items File and should be posted to the Permanent File when the next EXIT & SAVE is ordered. That's the way it should work, hopefully.

Top SIGN UP REQUIRED.

Click this Checkbox when the Event you are entering will require that for a person to attend he/she must SIGN UP (Register) for the Event. When a person clicks on a selection to view the details, he/she will be given the option to SIGN UP for the Event.

       BILL BOARD IMAGE

You can enter an IMAGE file name that will display an image on the first line of a BILL BOARD Entry. The Image MUST be on file and MUST be entered having the file EXTENSION of either '.jpg' or '.gif'. If for any reason the Image File Name is entered incorrectly, the Image shown on the Bill board entry will be blank or it will display the DEFAULT Image  of an Exclamation Point in a RED TRIANGLE.
